Dog trainer

• Certified dog trainer.

• Instructor for puppy, young and adult dogs. Approved by the Veterinary Department of Zurich, December 2021.

• Behaviour trainer – amicanis / Celina del Amo. Graduated Feb. 2022. 

• Numerous basic and advanced educational courses.

• Internships at several dog training schools.

 

Experience with dogs

• Grew up with Dago, a long-haired German Shepherd. Assisted his breeder.

• Spent nights sleeping on a garden lounger at the breeder's kennel to be there when the little shepherd puppies were born.

• Gained knowledge of and came to reject the unacceptable training methods used at that time in the Shepherd Dog Association. Vowed to do much better later when I had my own dog. Without force or spiked collars.   

• Looked after and walked dogs from time to time. 

• Since 2015, owner of Liyah, a Kromfohrländer female from the beautiful Emmental region. 

• Activities with Liyah included SpassSport, HoopAgility, Mantrailing, and other training courses

 

And otherwise?

• Studied marketing and business administration in a previous life. Among other places, in the United States. 

• Worked at Johnson&Johnson, Panini (yes, the ones with the soccer stickers) and Hugo Boss.

• Successful family tamer - husband is house-trained and well socialized.The two children made it through their puppyhood and adolescence without any incidents and have grown into socially mature young adults. The only thing that's not quite working yet is the come-back command 😅.​​
