Mandatory dog training as required by the canton of Zurich (theory course with exam and practical dog training).

TRAINING MATERIAL
Carefully designed training materials are available at HUNDHOCH2 to make training easy to understand and effective:

We use training card sets and knowledge folders in the puppy course, as well as in the mandatory practical course for young and adult dogs.

Further training cards are provided in the advanced course for young and adult dogs.

LOCATION
HUNDHOCH2 is located in Canton of Zurich, on the righthand shore of Lake Zurich, in Meilen.
GROUP COURSES

Courses are held at the dog training areas in Feldmeilen and in Stäfa (training area of the Hundeverein Pfannenstil).
ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING
-
Private training is possible in: Zollikon, Zumikon, Küsnacht, Erlenbach, Herrliberg, Feldmeilen, Meilen, Uetikon, Männedorf, Stäfa, Feldbach and Rapperswil. As well as in Egg, Maur, Oetwil, Hombrechtikon and Uster.

Private training sessions are also possible in Horgen and the rest of the left shore of Lake Zurich.

HUNDHOCH2 is committed to the scientifically backed principle of positive reinforcement training, for the well-being of our dogs.

Our approach emphasizes rewarding desirable behaviors to encourage their repeated occurrence.

Our training is free of aversive methods!
GOOD TO KNOW

Contrary to scientific findings, there are some dog training schools that advertise themselves as working without “treats” and therefore do not use primary reinforcers, i.e., food rewards. They may use training methods instead that can be potentially harmful to dogs, such as pulling on the leash, yelling, or other more severe measures.

At HUNDHOCH2, we firmly believe that every training session should be a fair and respectful experience for both humans and their dogs! This is why we use marker words and ‘rewards’ for desired behavior.

I attended the " Fun Sports " dog training course twice. If you're looking for activities for yourself and your dog, and have some time at home for training, this course is wonderful. The dog gets mental stimulation, and learning tricks and fun sports exercises together strengthens the bond between dog and owner. The training uses positive reinforcement in the form of treats and praise, making it fun for everyone.
Kirsten is able to explain the exercises very clearly. She addresses the individual needs of each human-dog team and is very dedicated and passionate about her work.
I highly recommend the course.

We learned a tremendous amount, and Kirstens' course materials are fantastic. The flashcards allow you to review what you've learned at a later time, so you don't forget half of it during the lesson.

Training takes place in small groups , allowing you to benefit as much as possible. We also received excellent materials and even waterproof training cards, which are very practical for practicing on the go.
