GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

HUNDHOCH2 kindly asks its customers to carefully read the General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as GTC) before submitting a booking request.

HUNDHOCH2 is happy to answer any questions you may have about the GTC.

1. SCOPE

The GTC apply to all offers made by HUNDHOCH2.

HUNDHOCH2 reserves the right to amend or supplement the GTC at any time.

 

2. COPYRIGHT

All documents, including images, created by HUNDHOCH2 and provided to customers are protected by copyright.

They may not be reproduced in any form or processed, duplicated, or distributed, including using electronic systems, without the written permission of HUNDHOCH2. This also applies to private use.

 

3. RULES / CODE OF CONDUCT

GUIDING PRINCIPLE “DOGS. BETTER. POSITIVE. TRAINING.”

  • HUNDHOCH2 pursues an exclusively positive training approach.

  • So-called aversive methods and aids are not used—they can cause pain or frighten a dog.

  • Therefore, such training methods, manners, or aids are strictly prohibited at HUNDHOCH2. These include, among others:

    • Spiked or link collars.

    • Collars with electric shocks or chemical substances.

    • Excessive harshness (hitting, kicking, etc.).

    • But also jerking the leash, as well as yelling or hissing at the dog.

  • Participants will be advised of prohibited training methods, manners, or aids if necessary and may be excluded from the course/training if they do not comply.

 

WHAT TO BRING TO TRAINING

The following equipment should be brought to every training session:

  • Several poop bags.

  • Well-fitting chest harness or collar.

    • Puppies and young dogs must wear a chest harness.

  • Leash, approx. 2 meters long.

  • No retractable leashes.

  • Food bag for treats, preferably attached to a waist belt or belt.

  • “Jackpot” reward.

    • Paste for licking, available from pet stores.

    • Small, soft, high-quality treats, e.g., finely chopped sausage or small pieces of cheese. Pea-sized. Slightly larger for large dogs.

  • Normal treats, about three handfuls. Pea-sized. Slightly larger for large dogs.

  • In warm weather, a bowl and water. These are also available at the training ground.

  • In wet weather, possibly a towel to dry the dog.

  • In cold weather, possibly a blanket/mat for the dog to lie on during training breaks.

  • In wet/cold weather, possibly a raincoat or thermal coat for sensitive dogs.

 

WEATHER

  • Training sessions take place in all weather conditions. If, in exceptional cases, HUNDHOCH2 has to cancel training sessions due to weather conditions (hail, storm, etc.), customers will be informed in good time.

  • Training participants must ensure that they wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions—and, if necessary, also for their dog (coat, rain cape, etc.).

 

ARRIVAL

  • Training participants are kindly asked to arrive with their dogs at the agreed meeting point or training site on time, at least 5 minutes before the start of training so that the training can begin on time.

  • Before training, dogs are given the opportunity to relieve themselves, and in the case of training on the training site, outside the grounds.

 

OBLIGATION TO CLEAN UP

  • There is an obligation to pick up feces on the training sites, at all agreed training meeting points, and in the surrounding area. This applies before, during, and after training.

 

LEASHES AND CO.

  • Dogs must be on a leash when they come to training.

  • Towing leashes may only be used with a chest harness.

  • Please do not use retractable leashes during training – risk of injury.

  • Out of consideration for other training participants and their dogs, the following applies:

    • When on a leash, always keep a sufficient distance from other human-dog teams (at least 2 leash lengths).

    • Dogs may only be let off the leash after consultation with HUNDHOCH2.

    • Without prior agreement, there is no contact between dogs when they are on a leash.

    • Strangers' dogs may not be petted or fed without prior agreement.

 

IN GENERAL

  • During training sessions, customers' cell phones must remain silent in their pockets. Anyone who wants to take photos or film must ask the group for permission. Without prior agreement, please only use photos on social media in which participants are not recognizable.

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited during training sessions.

  • Participating dogs should not be fed for at least two hours before training.

  • Digging holes is prohibited throughout the training area.

 

ACUTE ILLNESSES, ETC.

  • Dogs participating in training sessions must not have any contagious diseases, i.e., they must not pose a risk of infection to other dogs or humans.

  • Bitches in heat may only participate in lessons after prior consultation with the training management.

  • In order for the training management to decide whether and to what extent a dog can participate in training, the following must be reported directly to the respective training management in good time before the start of training, i.e. at least 24 hours in advance:

    • Acute illnesses of the dog (kennel cough, giardia, etc.).

    • Other acute health problems affecting the dog (diarrhea, etc.) or accidents.

    • Heat.

  • If the obligation to report is disregarded before training, participants may be excluded from participating in individual training sessions. In this case, the training/course fees will not be refunded.

 

CHIP, VACCINATION, ETC.

  • All dogs participating in lessons must be microchipped and registered with AMICUS and their local municipality.

  • All dogs participating in training must be adequately vaccinated, dewormed, and healthy.

  • HUNDHOCH2 reserves the right to check vaccination certificates and microchips and to exclude participants from training/courses in the event of breaches of duty.

 

MUZZLES

  • Aggressive dogs must wear a muzzle during training.

  • In this case, the customer must put the muzzle on the dog before the lesson begins and outside the training area.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY / FILMING

  • HUNDHOCH2 does not want participants to take photos or film during group lessons, unless this has been expressly permitted by HUNDHOCH2 and discussed with the group.

 

4. LESSON CONDUCT

LANGUAGE/DURATION/LOCATION

  • Training sessions, courses, and workshops are generally held in German. Except for those advertised as courses in English. 

  • In individual cases or upon request, they may be held in English.

  • A training session lasts 60 minutes, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Training sessions end at the originally agreed time, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Lessons take place at the training location specified by HUNDHOCH2.

 

MANDATORY COURSES

  • According to the law, the official dog owners must lead the dog in the training sessions of the mandatory dog courses.

    • AMICUS registration applies.

    • Participation in mandatory courses cannot be transferred to other persons.

    • Of course, family members or accompanying persons may attend the training sessions. Or, after consultation with the training management, they may also participate.

  • Certificates for the mandatory courses will only be issued if the number of hours prescribed by the Zurich Veterinary Office has been completed and the learning objectives have been achieved.

  • If a dog owner does not achieve the number of hours prescribed for the mandatory course due to too many absences, they can make up the missing hours in private lessons by arrangement. The prices for private lessons apply.

 

LATE ARRIVALS

  • Late arrivals by customers are at their own expense.

  • Late arrivals by customers do not entitle them to a reduction in payment.

  • HUNDHOCH2 will wait a maximum of 15 minutes at the agreed meeting point.

  • Any additional training time agreed upon will be billed separately.

 

ABSENCE

  • In the event of absence without timely written notification (at least 24 hours in advance), 100% of the fee will be charged.

  • Missed lessons cannot be made up.

  • In the event of foreseeable absences from private lessons or non-compulsory courses, a substitute participant may be provided after consultation with HUNDHOCH2.

5. REGISTRATION / REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT

REGISTRATION

  • The number of places in HUNDHOCH2 offers is limited.

  • If an offer is no longer available for booking, interested parties can contact HUNDHOCH2 via the waiting list form and request to be added to the waiting list. HUNDHOCH2 requires some information for this, such as the contact details of the owner, the desired offer, and information about the dog (name, age).

    • If a place becomes available or a new course is advertised, HUNDHOCH2 will offer it to interested parties in the order of the waiting list. However, an “official” booking request must then be made via the website (see menu bar “Book online”).

  • Offers from HUNDHOCH2 can only be taken up after a prior booking request AND confirmation by HUNDHOCH2.

    • Booking requests must be made in writing and via the online form (via the HUNDHOCH2 website).

    • The booking request is binding once confirmed by HUNDHOCH2.

    • Booking requests are considered in the order in which they are confirmed.

    • HUNDHOCH2 reserves the right to reject booking requests without giving reasons.

  • By submitting a booking request, the customer declares that they have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to them.

 

DUTY TO REPORT - HEALTH, BEHAVIORAL ISSUES, REQUIREMENTS

  • When making a booking request, HUNDHOCH2 must be informed of the following via the online booking request form on the website:

    • The dog's state of health (pain, illnesses, allergies - especially to food or insects).

    • Behavioral issues.

    • Aggression towards other dogs or people.

    • Anxiety of the dog.

    • Requirements of the veterinary office.

  • If the reporting obligation is disregarded during registration, participants may be excluded from participating in training sessions or courses.

6. PAYMENT TERMS

  • The booking request confirmed by HUNDHOCH2 is considered a binding registration and obliges the participant to pay the training or course fee.

  • Payment is not made in cash, but exclusively via bank transfer or TWINT.

  • Unless otherwise agreed, group courses, private courses, or workshops must be paid for at least seven days before the first day of the course/before the date of the event.

  • Private training sessions must be paid for via TWINT at the latest at the start of the training session.

  • The prices published on the HUNDHOCH2 website at the time of the booking request apply. HUNDHOCH2 reserves the right to change prices at any time.

7. CANCELLATIONS / WITHDRAWALS

CANCELLATIONS OF INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS

  • Cancellations of individual group or private training sessions must be made at least 24 hours in advance and in writing (by email, WhatsApp message, or SMS) to the training instructor.

    • For all courses with a specified duration, there is no entitlement to a pro-rata refund of the course fee for missed sessions and absences.

  • Private training sessions must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance and in writing (by email, WhatsApp message, or text message) to the course instructor. Otherwise, they will be billed.

  • In case of absence without prior written cancellation, 100% of the training or course fee will be charged.

 

WITHDRAWALS FROM ENTIRE GROUP COURSES OR WORKSHOPS

  • Withdrawals from entire group courses, private courses, or workshops must be made in writing (by email, WhatsApp message, or SMS) to the training instructor or HUNDHOCH2.

  • If you withdraw from the entire group course, private course, or workshop:

    • Less than 7 days before the start of the course/workshop, 100% of the fee is due.

    • Less than 14 days before the start of the course/workshop, 50% of the fee is due.

    • In the event of unexcused absence or discontinuation of the course/workshop, 100% of the fee is payable.

  • Refunds of group, private course, or workshop fees are only possible in exceptional cases, for example in the event of serious or prolonged illness or accident involving a person or dog, upon presentation of a medical certificate. In this case, the fees will be refunded on a pro rata basis.

CANCELLATION / POSTPONEMENT ETC. BY HUNDHOCH2

  • HUNDHOCH2 reserves the right to postpone offers for organizational reasons, to conduct them online as video conferences, or to cancel them, to change the location, or to change the training management. Customers will be informed of any changes in good time.

  • In the event of cancellation of offers by HUNDHOCH2, fees will be refunded in full; the customer shall have no further claims.

  • Exception: No refunds will be given for training sessions/courses canceled due to bad weather.

8. REDUCTION / REFUND OF FEES

  • Delays on the part of customers do not entitle them to a reduction in fees.

  • Withdrawals from entire group courses, private courses, or workshops must be made in good time and in writing. Otherwise, 50% or 100% of the fees will be charged depending on the cancellation period.

  • Refunds of group, private course, or workshop fees are only possible in exceptional cases, for example, in the event of serious or prolonged illness or accident involving a person or dog, upon presentation of a medical certificate. In this case, fees will be refunded on a pro rata basis.

  • Private training sessions must be canceled in writing at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend. Otherwise, they will be invoiced. In this case, any fees already paid will not be refunded.

  • If customers fail to attend without prior written cancellation, 100% of the training/course or workshop fees will be charged. Any fees already paid will not be refunded. Missed lessons cannot be made up.

  • If HUNDHOCH2 cancels any offers, the fees for these offers will be refunded in full; the customer shall have no further claims. Training cancellations due to bad weather are an exception. In this case, no money will be refunded.

  • If the obligation to report (illness, heat, etc.) before training is disregarded, participants may be excluded from participating in individual training sessions. In this case, the training/course fees will not be refunded.

  • HUNDHOCH2 reserves the right to check vaccination certificates and microchips and to exclude participants from training, courses, or workshops in the event of breaches of duty. In this case, fees will be refunded on a pro rata basis.

  • HUNDHOCH2 reserves the right to exclude participants from classes in the event of late payment, breaches of duty, or repeated violations of the course instructor's instructions. In the event of exclusion in these cases, fees will be refunded on a pro rata basis.

  • If necessary, participants will be advised of unauthorized training methods, manners, or aids. They may be excluded from training sessions, courses, or workshops if they do not comply. In this case, fees will be refunded on a pro rata basis.

9. EXCLUSION OF COURSE PARTICIPANTS

HUNDHOCH2 reserves the right to exclude participants from classes in the event of late payment, breach of duty, or repeated violations of the course instructor's instructions.

In the event of exclusion in these cases, course fees will be refunded on a pro rata basis.

10. INSURANCE / LIABILITY

  • Participation in training courses is at the participant's own risk, responsibility, and peril.

  • Dog owners are liable for all damage caused by them, their dog, and their accompanying persons.

  • Accident and liability insurance for dogs and humans is the responsibility of the participant. HUNDHOCH2 expressly reserves the right to request proof of insurance policies from participants.

  • Children and young people under the age of 16 may not participate in HUNDHOCH2 lessons/courses without being accompanied by an adult or without written permission from a parent or guardian. The training of dogs is the responsibility of persons with legal capacity.

  • HUNDHOCH2 cannot be held liable for theft or loss of property.

  • HUNDHOCH2 accepts no liability for personal injury, property damage, or financial loss incurred during training, nor for damage or injury of any kind caused by participating dogs.

  • HUNDHOCH2 is only liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence on the part of HUNDHOCH2. Contractual liability is excluded.

11. SUCCESS GUARANTEE

HUNDHOCH2 does not guarantee success. Success in dog training depends on the cooperation and diligence of the participating human-dog teams, as well as on the individual capabilities and abilities of the respective dogs and their owners.

12. DATA PROTECTION

HUNDHOCH2 reserves the right to collect, store, and process the personal data of customers required within the scope of the business relationship.

Customer data will be treated with the utmost care. The provisions of Swiss data protection law will be observed.

Course participants agree that photos and videos taken during a training session/course may be used by HUNDHOCH2 free of charge for its website, social media, and other channels. The image rights then belong to HUNDHOCH2. If individuals are recognizable in photos or videos, these will be deleted at the request of the person concerned.

13. FINAL PROVISIONS

Swiss law applies to contractual relationships with HUNDHOCH2. The place of jurisdiction is the Sit of HUNDHOCH2.

The contractual relationship between HUNDHOCH2 and customers is governed by the terms and conditions published at the time of the booking request.

 

The General Terms and Conditions may be amended by HUNDHOCH2 at any time. The new version shall come into force upon publication on the website.

 

These General Terms and Conditions take precedence over older provisions. Individual agreements may be made in exceptional cases; these shall then take precedence over these General Terms and Conditions.

Should one or more provisions be or become invalid in whole or in part, the legal validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by the relevant statutory provision.
