Have you already laid the foundations for politeness and good obedience with your dog ? Perhaps in a puppy, young dog, or basic training course? But that's not enough for you?


Then the advanced practical course is the perfect opportunity to further solidify and deepen your dog's basic obedience skills, and to learn new things.


Do you want a really well-behaved dog that you can give plenty of freedom to in everyday life? Then head to HUNDHOCH2 for the advanced practical course! We look forward to seeing you and your four-legged friend!

DEEPNESS M1.26 / MILES

  • Tuesday, March 3 - May 12, 2026

  • 11:00 - 12:00

  • 60 minutes each, 10 sessions

  • Training ground Feldmeilen

  • Dates : March 3rd, March 10th, March 17th, March 24th, March 31st, April 7th, April 14th, April 28th, May 5th, May 12th. / 05/19/26 (reserve)

  • No training on April 21, 2026 (first week of spring break). The session scheduled for April 28 can be rescheduled by arrangement.


DEEPENING M2.26 / MILES

  • Tuesday, May 26 - September 8, 2026

  • 11:00 - 12:00

  • 60 minutes each, 10 sessions

  • Training ground Feldmeilen

  • Dates : May 26th, June 16th, June 23rd, June 30th, July 7th, July 14th, August 18th, August 25th, September 1st, September 8th. / September 15, 2026 (reserve)

  • No training: June 2nd/9th (HUNDHOCH2 holiday), August 21st-11th (Summer holidays, school in Meilen, training sessions are possible by arrangement)


IN-DEPTH S1.26 / STÄFA

  • Thursday, April 2 - July 2, 2026

  • 6:45 PM - 7:45 PM

  • 60 minutes each, 10 sessions

  • No training: April 23, 2026 (1st week of spring break), May 15 (Ascension Day), June 4 (Corpus Christi), June 11 (Hundhoch2 vacation)

COURSE DETAILS

GOOD TO KNOW

  • GROUP / PRIVATE: Course with 10 training lessons .


COURSE DATES

  • GROUP: See above. No classes on public holidays.

  • PRIVATE: Individually schedulable. The private course begins on a date requested by the individual. Further dates will be determined during the first lesson.


NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

  • GROUP: Maximum 4-5 human-dog teams .

  • PRIVATE: 1 human-dog team / 1 family with dog .

  • Training grounds HUNDHOCH2 , Feldmeilen. Training also available in the field by arrangement.

  • Private training sessions can be arranged by appointment , and we are happy to come to your home.


COURSE REMUNERATION

  • GROUP: CHF 419 for 10 training sessions (including a set of in-depth flashcards).

  • PRIVATE: CHF 919 for 10 training sessions (= 10% discount on 10 private lessons, including a set of advanced training cards in German).

AVAILABLE SEPARATELY

Many of the exercises from the basic course are repeated and reinforced in the first lessons of the advanced course, as needed. They are not included in the advanced course training cards because many HUNDHOCH2 customers have completed the course and already have the materials.

  • Those who did not attend the basic course can purchase the basic package separately . Please let us know if you are interested. The package, in German, includes training cards and a folder with handouts and information material for CHF 59.

CONTENT

In the HUNDHOCH2 advanced course, the learning objectives of the basic practical course are briefly reviewed and then expanded, deepened, and consolidated. Naturally, new material is also introduced .


Training includes, among other things:

  • Recall under greater distraction - past other teams or food distractions.

  • Recall with stopping the dog.

  • Spend some money (out), under greater distraction.

  • Interruption of unwanted actions (abort signal) under greater distraction.

  • Position training (sitting, standing and standing), with distance and distraction.

  • Footwork exercises with changes of direction and encounter drills.

  • Running backwards while distracted.

  • Impulse control and frustration tolerance.

  • Conditioned relaxation, break signal.

  • And much more besides.

Furthermore, new and meaningful information is conveyed:

  • Send to the side.

  • Fetch

  • Game signal

  • And more.

GOOD TO KNOW

TRIAL LESSON

  • A trial lesson before definitively registering for a course is of course always possible. However, please do not bring your dog.

  • HUNDHOCH2 requests brief prior written notification via contact form should a trial lesson be desired (see menu bar "Contact").

  • Once confirmed by HUNDHOCH2, nothing stands in the way of the sniffing session.


PLEASE NOTE

  • Please do not feed the dog for approximately 2 hours before training sessions.

  • All dogs participating in lessons must be microchipped and registered with AMICUS and their local municipality.

  • All dogs participating in training must be adequately vaccinated, dewormed and healthy (no diarrhea, vomiting, coughing or similar symptoms).

  • Accompanying persons are of course permitted. Children must be supervised accordingly.

The following equipment must be brought to every training session:

  • Several poop bags .

  • A well-fitting harness or collar .

  • Lead rope , approximately 2 meters long. Or long line, at least 3 meters long.

  • Long line only with a chest harness, not with a collar.

  • No retractable lines .

  • Treat pouch for reward snacks, preferably with a belly strap or for attaching to a belt.

  • Jackpot reward (lickable paste. Or small, soft and very high-quality food morsels, e.g., finely chopped sausages or small pieces of cheese).

  • Normal reward treats , about three handfuls

  • In wet weather, you might want to bring a towel to dry the dog.

  • In wet/cold weather , a rain or thermal coat may be necessary for sensitive dogs.

  • Durable clothing and weather-appropriate footwear .

HOW TO GET THERE

  • Please allow sufficient time for your journey so that dog and owner arrive relaxed and on time at the training location, and so that the dog has time to relieve itself before the training.

  • There is an obligation to pick up feces.

  • The training sessions take place in all weather conditions.

  • Should HUNDHOCH2 exceptionally have to cancel training sessions due to weather conditions (hail, storm, etc.), customers will be informed in good time beforehand.

RULES | CODE OF CONDUCT

HUNDHOCH2 asks all customers to adhere to the HUNDHOCH2 training code of conduct and training rules.


So that all training sessions can run optimally and without disruption, and so that both people and dogs benefit from the training to the fullest extent.


Here are the most important rules. Further rules can be found in the terms and conditions.

  • Participants should arrive at the training location approximately 5 minutes before the training begins.

  • Participating dogs should not be fed approximately 2 hours before training.

  • The dogs arrive at training clean.

  • Strict rules regarding the removal of dog feces apply on and around the training grounds, as is the case everywhere in the canton of Zurich.

  • The dogs are on leashes when they come for training.

  • Long lines are only used with a chest harness .

  • Please do not use retractable lanyards during training – risk of injury.

  • Out of consideration for other training participants and their dogs, the following applies:
    * Sufficient distance is always maintained between the dog and other human-dog teams (at least 2 leash lengths).
    * Dogs may only be let off the leash after prior arrangement with HUNDHOCH2.
    * There is no contact between the dogs without prior agreement when they are on a leash.
    * Strange dogs will neither be petted nor fed without prior agreement.

  • Digging holes is prohibited throughout the entire area.

  • During training sessions, customers' mobile phones must remain silent in their pockets. Photos and videos are permitted after consultation with the instructor and other participants.

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited during training sessions.

  • Insurance is the responsibility of the participants.
