The terms and conditions apply.
WHAT IS CROSSDOGGING?
Crossdogging is a diverse and creative course offering for anyone who enjoys training their dog and discovering their hidden talents. Sometimes we combine tricks with basic commands, other times we work at a distance. Other times we explore exercises from nose work, long-line training, agility, or other dog activities. It's never boring, we promise!
Both young and older dogs, family dogs as well as ambitious training teams are welcome!
HOW DOES THE TRAINING WORK?
In the first lesson of each training month, we will work on three main topics .
Over the following weeks, we will work on five different, tricky and fun tasks for each of these three topics.
They are explained and practiced at the beginning of each lesson.
The teams then practice one after the other, always in pairs, at the five task stations. Similar to circuit training.
We practice at three different difficulty levels , so there is something for every team - for beginners as well as for advanced players.
It's not about competitive sports or rivalry, but about teamwork, fun and spending quality time with your dog.
CROSSDOGGING RANKING
Anyone who wants to and enjoys it can participate in an international Crossdogging ranking and compete online with other participants from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Luxembourg without any tournament stress.
BENEFITS FOR HUMANS AND DOGS
Crossdogging is fun, but it also offers numerous advantages!
FOR THE DOG
More peace and serenity through mental stimulation via varied tasks.
Promotes concentration, impulse control, and problem-solving skills.
Strengthening self-confidence through solvable challenges.
Shared fun and improved bonding and focus on the individual.
Improved fitness through athletic activities and gentle physical exercise. Without overexertion.
FOR HUMANITY
Varied training without boring repetitions.
Wonderful success stories with your own dog. Regardless of breed, age, or training level.
Strengthening communication and bonding within the human-dog team.
A deeper understanding of one's own dog and its learning style.
Especially for dogs that quickly become under-stimulated or for owners who enjoy creative training, crossdogging is a particularly enjoyable form of activity.
REQUIREMENTS
Basically, anyone can participate in Crossdogging. The entry barriers are deliberately low. Prior knowledge of dog sports is not necessary.
There are still a few requirements.
The dog should be healthy and able to move without pain .
The dog can concentrate well in groups with other dogs.
He should be motivated by food or play .
The dog owners work fairly and on a reward basis .
Basic obedience exercises were practiced and reinforced.
Your dog can already sit and lie down and remain in that position until you release it or give a follow-up command, even if you move away.
He responds reasonably well to your call back.
Walking on a loose leash and heeling are already going well.
He has his behavior somewhat under control and knows what "no" means.
Fantastic! Then you as a team are ready to embark on your crossdoging adventure!
